Where are we going in 2007? Well, we can announce that we will be back to all locations we have ratified so far - that’s BRISTOL, EDINBURGH and MANCHESTER. Entries open for all of these events on the 23rd October.
The events will follow the same format as all 2006 races, except in Manchester, where we will be changing to a 1 day format and offering the Mean Streets Adventure on the Saturday evening as well as a massively up-scaled Bruntwood Aerial Assault climbing event. There will thus be no 2 day adventure class event in Manchester.

EARLY BIRDS
All the above events will be open for entries from Monday 23rd October 2006. Anyone entering from now until the 05 November will get an explosive Gunpowder plotter’s discount offering the entries at 2005 prices!!! So remember, remember the 5th of November! The early bird offer then continues and is open to all racers entering during the remaining part of 2006 - between 06th Nov and 31st Dec prices will be held at this year’s rates, saving £10 per person on next year’s prices. Remember, Bristol and Edinburgh events SOLD OUT this year, so do sign up as early as possible. We’ve had many enquiries in so far, so we know there are many eager beavers (or restless Rats) out there.
PRICES AND CLASSES
The price for Rat Race events will rise for all participants entering from 01 Jan 2007 onwards. Early bird offers extend to the end of 2006 and afterwards, prices will rise to £89 for adventure class (pp) and £29 for mean streets prologue (pp).
The price will be fixed at £89 until a month before each event, when it will rise again to £99 per person in adventure class and £35 in mean streets class.
Reasons for the rises? We want to deliver the same high quality events as we have done so to date. Numbers of competitors have increased and so has the level of excitement we have delivered. The electric atmosphere we all feel on the start line has to be backed up with investment from ourselves in more ropes, more boats, more insurance, more personnel. The event has grown and with that we want to grow the adventure - more aerial activities, more special stages, more dramatic once-in-a-lifetime action within the city skyline and more competitor offers, discounts and free stuff when you arrive for the event.
We have also re-named the rookie class as the mean streets adventure. It’s the same event - 3 hours of madcap checkpoint hunting based on foot across the city - just re-named.

NEW CITIES - BUT WHERE?
We have some dramatic new locations to add for 2007 and we can reveal that one of these is a foreign one, too. We are keeping these under wraps just now and plan to announce both locations in news to be released later in the autumn. Both are totally uncharted Rat Racing terrain and thus ripe for the adventure…watch this space. Prices will be in line with those published above.
DVDs AVAILABLE
The 2006 Series DVD will be available from November 2006. It promises to be a rough and tumble ride through the year’s highlights and is shot with some documentary style “behind-the-scenes” coverage too. Those who have ordered yours, it will be sent within the next 21days. RAT RACE ON TV
For those that competed on Edinburgh, make sure to get up early this SUNDAY 22nd October as the Rat Race Edinburgh will be screened on Channel 4 at 0800 as part of Dreamteam TV’s excellent Adrenalin Rush series.
