Event Format

The Belfast event is one of our new and exciting Nine 2 Five event formats, compressing a Weekender's worth of Rat Racing activity into one 8-hour day of action. Hundreds of Rat Racers will line up at stunning Belfast City Hall ready for the off. But with the race set off, which way do you go? Rat racers will be dispersed all over the city, along the Waterfront, to the shipyards and further a field in search of their check points, in the first section of their race "mean streets".

Returning to your bikes, you then set off on one of the Adventure loops. You have a few to choose from, but which one do you take first? Choose to get wet, aerial or navigationally challenged and start out in what is likely to be one of three directions. 

 After polishing off one of these loops - by your team successfully completing the activities and locating the checkpoints, you will return to the event village for a brief but taxing challenge, before setting out once again, and again, until all the loops are completed. Finally, as the end of the 8th hour approaches and you have dropped your bikes for the last time, it's back into the streets on foot to mop-up as many of those checkpoints squirreled away. Race Leaders might have a couple of hours for this, whereas the tail-enders by now might just grab a few checkpoints.
