Welcome to the Rat Race! Join us at the event village which will be base camp for the weekend. Browse our adventure concessions, watch urban and action sports demos and avail of our excellent free music programme while registering and meeting other Rat racers.

As the evening approaches, you will be tuning into the event briefing and you will be getting ready to join the Rat Race. 

1700 GMT and the starting gun will sound on the stroke of Big Ben. You will burst into London along with another 1000 souls and scatter far and wide, attempting to uncover as many checkpoints as you can placed all over central London. Use all means at your disposal to find them and when you get to them, you may be required to do a challenge - physical, mental, subliminal, existential. Who knows? You'll collect as many as you can then it's back to the event village to watch it all on a giant screen while gorging on high-carb Rat fodder followed by a well earned kip.

Sunday
Those taking part in the Adventure class event will convene early at the event village and you will be on the Starting grid by 0800. You'll need stamina, guts, a bike, some team-mates, a map and some other bits n' pieces and we would suggest leaving the hangovers at home for this one. You're going to cover at least 50km of London and you will be getting wet, sore, tired and lost (maybe). Sounds good huh? We're really selling it to you, right? Well, these things may occur but you ARE going to see parts of the City you have never seen before, you ARE going to be part of an adventure never experienced before in the Capital and you ARE going to make it back to Rat base in time for the after party. For those that struggle, we are with you all the way with safety support, water on hand and the odd short cut for those that want it. And if you don't fancy the look of some of the scarier challenges, then that's fine too. You just get a time penalty and move on.

Expect the unexpected but do expect 6 hours in the saddle (of your bike) - who knows, you may get on a horse too!? Expect stunning ropes locations, really crazy navigation challenges and the most surreal yet exhilarating day out you can experience in London.

This is the Rat Race. Not your normal nine 'til five!

Party
When you return, it's not over! Oh no. There's prize giving and a party at a venue close by and we urge you to remember the age old adage...Sunday night is NOT a school night!

The course
Don't be silly. It's secret. We're not telling you much until the day of the event. But it'll be worth the surprise.
