Although the Rat Race Urban Adventure is an action packed full bodied adventure, we try and make the rules reasonably relaxed and straightforward. However to make an event like this run smoothly and safely there are a few key Do's & Dont's you must adhere to:

Do:
•    Stick together as a team. Unless otherwise instructed you must stay within 50m of each other
•    Wear your Rat Race Urban Adventure T-shirt & race number at all times unless otherwise instructed
•    Read & understand the Rat Race Code of Conduct. When you sign up to this event you have agreed to adhere to this code. Find the code below
•    If you have entered the Nine 2 Five, you must follow the route as dictated by the Routebook, unless instructed otherwise

Don't:
•    Cheat. Cheats will be penalised (score deduction penalty example; 50 points
•    forget all your mandatory kit
•    remove your SportIdent timing chip. If you lose it or break it you will be charged and they are not cheap!

You can view the full Rat Racers Code of Conduct below.

Team composition

Teams in the Rat Race events enter as 2 or 3 people, whether competing in the Saturday evening Mean Streets event and/or the Sunday Nine2Five event. Your team can be all male, all female or a mixed. We consider the mixed team as the true dynamic to go for with more prizes up for grabs as a reward, therefore we encourage you to mix it up!

Age limits

Age Limits All competitors must be over 16. Those aged 16 and 17 must be in a team which includes their parent/legal guardian.
